Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow - Post 1

John Kruk is a legend.  Note the lower case l there. If you want a capital-L Legend, you have to look at the recently retired-from-trading Wes aka Jay Barker Fan who can be found here on Twitter. He blitzkrieged Matt into retirement and before he sailed west, he sent out a bunch of cards to collectors and traders and I was lucky enough to be the recipient of some amazing cards. This is the first of two farewell to Wes posts. This one focusing on John Kruk.

Wes sent me my first Kruk as a White Sox card...

1995 Pinnacle Hall of Gold You Trade Em, Card #HG 76

The rest of the Kruk cards feature him as a Phillies and they are all SN cards. I'll let the cards do the talking...

2005 Playoff Absolute Memorabilia Tools of the Trade Red, Card #TT-135

2005 Upper Deck Classics Counterparts (with Kent Hrbek), Card #CC-KH SN 1388/1999

2006 Fleer Greats of the Game Copper, Card #53 SN 153/299

2013 Panini America's Pastime, Card #151 SN 70/125

2013 Panini America's Pastime Characters of the Game, Card #CG5 SN 2/125

The Calling Card, Autographed:

Wes, Thank You Kind Sir! It was a privilege to have met you via trade and an eternally grateful and in your debt.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Love me some JBF posts.
That National Pastime card is sweet!

  2. Man, I totally forgot that Kruk played for the White Sox!
