John Kruk: 1992 Magazine Cards

In the early 1990s, cards were coming out the wazoo.

In 1992, John Kruk was in his prime, thriving on the east coast with the Philadelphia Phillies. In the top card here, issued by Baseball Card Magazine, he's pointing something out to someone. You probably didn't need me to point that out. For the card back, if there is video footage of the southpaw pitching I, like, have to see it.

The investment advice is spot on, nearly 30 years later.

The lower card below was issued by Topps Magazine. It's an inferior card photograph and design in just about almost every aspect. Though there is must more text on the back, which is always a good thing.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a nice weekend.

  1. I'm guessing with Topps reusing old designs so frequently these days... it's only a matter of time before they start using their Topps Magazine designs too.

P.S. My dream is to find a stack of Baseball Card Magazines at a flea market for a good price. I love flipping through them and reading the articles... but I love their custom cards even more.

  2. That Topps Magazine card is cool. Does he have an SI for Kids card?

  3. Love the photo on the BCM card. No surprise, Mitch Haddad was one of the leading baseball card photographers of the '80s/'90s.
